I’ve finally found an answer to this that may be of interest to others. My husband read, no idea where, that if you have a French bank loan of under 10,000 euros you can pay it off early without paying the interest. Our bank conseillère didn’t know about this but having run a simulation on our loan she says it’s correct. So yes we can save a few hundred euros by paying it off early.
