A friend who’s an international airline pilot told me that on occasional boring long haul flights he has woken up from his officially sanctioned sleep period in the cockpit and found that the co-pilot who was supposed to be in charge of the plane had fallen asleep . Sorry @John_Scully and missus!
That happened very recently. Air traffic control couldn’t raise the plane and it flew off course. The copilot woke up, realised what had happened and corrected.
If you don’t hear from me after the 26th you will know what happened Mark.
Might be worth doing a few sessions on Microsoft flight simulator
Goodness, I bought it when it first came out (about £40 if i remember).I bought every upgrade and numerous increasingly sophisticated joysticks, some with pedals I seem to recall ànd never actually played it apart from a quick Cessna diddle on version one. I have wasted so much money on FS
On the other hand, my daughter really got value out of SIMS and other similar stuff we bought her. I’m sure her 11 year old career aspirations were influenced by Theme Hospital
That bloaty head is a bugger to cure.
My kids loved the SIMS, played on it for hours. Had to laugh at my son in law who treated himself to one of those goggle things that you play stuff on and stand there looking like a moron throwing your arms about, he had to take it back as it caused him to suffer bad sea sickness bouts and he works in IT too!
Very reassuring
More Boeing incompetence.
