I should have asked the Mayor to sign my CdeV, it would have taken away weeks of stress, with all the malarkey /hoops I was trying to do 
I did wonder who the people in UK would go to, without incurring costs.

Are you thinking about e.g. French people in the UK? My understanding is that UK people in the UK don’t need to do all this kerfuffle…
Not sure, the options given to people in UK are the same as I needed 
plus the easier option of Dr, dentist etc. This may only apply to CAB
