I used to interrupt them asking if they could install their solar panels in the UK as that’s where I live… They quickly ended the call each time

My son brought this up out of the blue last night when the dinner conversation got to nuisance calls. He said several of his colleagues at school had installed it on their phones and it was working well.

I’m registered on Bloctel.I have received an email that tells me that Bloctel will cease to exist from 11 August.The explanation appears to be that since cold calling without explicit personal consent, will be banned following a change in French law (30 June 2025) there will be no need for Bloctel! This seems an heroic assumption… The majority of the cold calls I receive seem to have an Algerian number. I’m unclear how a change in French law will prevent such calls from overseas…..
