Car hire from French supermarket for non residents

Whatever you do decide don’t use Enterprise or any connected company! We had a terrible time over them renting a faulty and potentially dangerous car to our son. This including trying to claim the cost of repair from us! Ended up with the European Car Rental Conciliation Service who told them in no uncertain terms to do one!

Handy to know there is such an organisation.

They actually score well with Which - maybe the best of a bad lot. I’m going to use AutoEurope as broker - again highly rated. Enterprise have the best review figures for Toulouse looking at feedback. I don’t trust any of them. I will of course have CDW excess cover from a UK company.
I considered renting an EV as I’ve never driven one, but looks to me like you need an app and so on set up for charging.

Hertz have provided me with a card when I’ve rented EVs from them. I only use a charging card with my own EV too, which just debits my bank A/C. You might enjoy trying an EV, especially if your not doing any long runs, say 300km or more.
