Caravan scam

A slightly different form of purchase… I found a chabrette (Limousin bagpipe) on Le Bon Coin. It was slightly more expensive than this caravan… so I proposed to the seller that I would visit, with my chequebook and ID.

I ended up getting a free lesson thrown in, being fed cake, listening to a lot of folk music and hearing stories about the greats of French traditional music - he’d played with them all. Very much worth the drive to Brittany - we did some tourism en route, too.

On the other hand we’ve enquired about a number of 2CVs and every single one has been scam fodder.

I think that we have done this one to death, thank you all for your comments, the major opinion is that it would have been followed by a burglary, so I will remain vigilant.
