Not a personal attack at all, just saying how it is. Obviously you need as much as you can get for the next chapter but sometimes you do have to take a hit in order to obtain that dream. Those old neighbours of mine will never sell, not at prices inflated by at least €100k for one (position is dreadful and shares entry with the local boulangerie) and the other is not even finished inside as a new build so a lot more money needed to complete it and for that he needs to drop it at least €40k
Thanks understood. I was a bit unsure of my reply.
Bon courage
I think the risk in France for those of us used to rising house markets elsewhere is that one can over invest and expect to get back that investment and hopefully a profit. Hanging on in France in the hope that the housing market will rise to one’s expectations, unless one is a savvy, experienced redeveloper in exactly the right area, doesn’t work.
Ten years ago my next door neighbour did a magnificent job on their house, and lost 200k when they moved two years later.
Thanks – happy to break even.
Me too, when the time comes
My hope is to be carried out in a box and not care what it’s worth.
We are moving to Skye so it has to be a Viking funeral pyre!
At least one more adventure, don’t roll over too soon.
Hello, we are reducing the price to €249,000 . Unfortunately I cannot see how to amend this post so will make a new post.
Thank you to all who looked.
