Or what about Rusty, Crimson, Ruby, Scarlet, Claret, Cerise (to go with the red theme ??)

You could have Sharon (kaki, persimmon if you prefer)

Love Sharon - perfect for a chicken.

Tikka, Korma, Jalfrezi and Shashlik.

That’s a bit cruel AM - I’m surprised at you !

There’s no malice in it, and the joke has already been gently floated.

@Ancient_Mariner - I didn’t mean you intended any malice and please forgive me for taking it the wrong way.

How are The Nameless Ones doing @toryroo - I’m sure they’ve settled in by now :chicken:

And can you or anyone else tell me how can I tell the difference between top and bottom of an egg. Whilst eating our boiled eggs this morning (Wednesdays and Sundays are chooky egg days in our house) I couldn’t distinguish what side was up when placing the egg in the holder. It seemed to me that both top and bottom were the same shape. Is there a quick way to find out please :egg:

I would have thought that it doesn’t matter, as long as they fit nice and tight, and taste the same.

I haven’t eaten a soft boiled egg in years, I normally hard boil them for 10 minutes in the steamer. I suppose I could just steam for 4 or 5 minutes and see what happens, obviously right way up.

No - it doesn’t matter David, but I’ve always thought there was a right and wrong way to put an egg into it’s holder.

And I usually put hot water in a saucepan, bring it to the boil, take the pan off the heat and gently lower the eggs (large ones) into the water using a spoon. Then I put the pan back on the burner, and when it comes back to full boiling point, I time two minutes. That gives us runny yokes that we can dip our soldiers in to. That method has never failed me.

You need to reread Swift  when he’s in Lilliput they have endless ongoing political argybargy according to whether they are big endians or little endians.
