Clever people cleverer than I

Sort of. There’s variations on a theme - Hoymiles do one (battery and charge controller in the box - outputs into their micro inverter) - Enphase is similar you just move their micro inverters into the battery box’s output.

The Zendure s it’s all built in - plug your DC in one side - connect the 240V output normally to a socket but you can do it to the board. But the inverter is inside the box.

They’re fairly good value and very simple to install - but the inverter/micro inverter is the output stage - your battery wont output in a power cut. Some have “off grid” outputs - like the power banks - you plug an extension lead in to run your TV whatever in a power cut

Drawback is mainly only 4 panels can be connected and you can expand the battery but not the inputs.

Originally they were designed for small plug and play - balcony battery - have a freestanding panel and battery on your apartment balcony.

Hi. The Zendure will only accept input from solar panels.

I would be looking at something like this from Victron, they have a good reputation and the seller will be able to assist you further. I did not buy one for my solar but went with another company.

Having read about chatgpt i have just input the specifications as listed in my original post and it has confirmed to me the same Hoymiles HM-1200 / HM-1200NT microinverter. Thank you for pointing me in the direction of chatgpt. I’ve never used it before but looks kind of good. I don’t really like AI stuff usually but in this instance………

Thanks for the recommendation. I will go contact and see how I get on.

I had to share this.

I have been pushing the Zendure people for a better explanation and this is what they have provided.

We apologize that our Hyper doesn’t work directly with wind turbines.

In your case, we recommend charging your device during periods of low electricity prices and using Hyper when prices are higher.

You can also connect your wind turbine to your home grid. When the wind turbine generates electricity and feeds it into your home grid, the Smart CT detects surplus energy, which can trigger charging for the Hyper.

We hope this information is helpful and thank you for your patience and trust in us. If you have any further product questions or concerns, please contact us.

We wish you all the best!

I think you will understand that from this, and this is the 2nd time they have given me this, why it is that I am so convinced that if I get the right inverter I can use the turbine to provide the electricity .

Am I really going mad? Chasing a turbine pipe dream?

I have spent 95% of my life applying common sense to problems and in 95% of instances I have found a solution by doing so. But this has me beat!

Hi Everyone.

Let me first off say thank you to all of you who have risen to the challenge and assisted where you have. It might not have appeared that I was and am grateful for your input and if that’s the case I apologise profusely. It’s been a steep learning curve.

For the moment, I am suspending everything and anything to do with the turbine idea.

Again a big thanks to all of you.

Yes, as I said…
