That sounds quite cheap. The link that Stella posted says 3.85€.
This link also gives a slightly different price (3,76 euro), even though it quotes the gouv.fr site.. most bizarre,
but I would have thought 0.99euro is somewhat doubtful
@Volcanic which website did you use??
Just be careful everyone… here is the french government talking about frauds re Crit’Air and how to report them
Wensite Espace Vehicule. They sent me a tracking number as well. 0.99 Euros. Seems legit. Would charge much more if a scam surely? On vera.
Hmmm…
let’s hope so ![]()
I suggest folk do use the government site… that way there can be no room for misunderstandings/errors
I wondered about the cost because 0.99€ may not cover the postage.
If it’s this site, you pay 99c but then you’ve signed up for something that costs 40€ a month. You have two days to cancel.
48H free trial… then… drat and double drat. ![]()
Oh shot. So how do I cancel it!
I imagine their website tells you. Is it the one I linked to above?
Can we just do a quick recap..
anyone needing a Crit’Air sticker: really should use the french government site to avoid misunderstandings …
…and then, for advice on where to stick it:

![]()
the way today’s heat is building up already… I might just blow my top and tell you where to stick it
(politely, of course…
)
My cross-reference was deliberately ambiguous… ![]()
Fingers-crossed @Volcanic has cancelled his subscription and will still be receiving his Crit’Air sticker at the reduced price ![]()
However, I don’t suggest anyone else tries to follow his lead, as it might all end in tears.
Meanwhile, keep cool everyone… winter will soon be here ![]()
OK, here’s some feedback.
@Volcanic tells me he has now received his Crit’Air sticker through the post.
Hurrah!
Yes, it has only cost him 0.99€
instead of just under 4€ through the correct French Government site.
However, in his search for a bargain, he had unwittingly signed-up (as part of the deal) to pay 39€ per month to espace-vehicule…
Although that company agreed to cancel his adhesion and still send the sticker for 0.99€, I suspect they might not be so understanding if they get a mob trying the same tack.
Please, everyone… make sure you thoroughly read and fully understand exactly what you are signing-up to, before handing over your card details.
Of course, this applies to all Purchases.
and let’s repeat the info:
Scam sites are after your credit card number, expiry date and code on the back, not the small amount they may ask for. The amount is small so that you don’t really challenge it, you just pay. Then when they have your info, Ker BANG ![]()
Although, as you know, I finally got my Critair sticker by an unfamiliar route, I have yet to see one on any other car, French or English. Pourquoi?
Either for all the cars you have seen… the people have scraped 'em off… or you haven’t seen cars which go into the Air Controlled Zones..
we still have our stickers… ![]()
EDIT we bought stickers when we knew we would be passing through/visiting one or more of the controlled areas.. yonks ago… avoiding stress for very little cost. ![]()
We were threatened with having them from 1st Jan this year and then nothing happened but everyone around me has one on their windscreen if the car is not brand new.
