Yes, we have those too, but with renovations - de-modernising and up-bathrooming, plus gardening, unlike our neighbours, we’re regulars at la déchette.
Much appreciated twice a year in my commune. And while the UK tips may have the same range of services, they are rarely as clean and tidy as my local one. Not to mention the view [we often do a tip run, just to show it off to visitors!].

Agreed! The two we go to are spotless and the guys who run them are really proud of what they do. Love the thought that you take visitors to see the view!

The spelling doesn’t depend on where you live. In Minhy Tréguier it is spelt both ways within a few metres of each other.
