if France wants to pas the 100 million visitors it will need to continue enhancing its customer service many of those who sat for 12 hours at border or 5 hours on a7 will look at destinations elsewhere within 4 to 5 hour flight zone for the same price even new york sits inside this timescale
English American Dutch holidaymakers give France much needed capital injection, French holidaymakers give revenue but just keep the wheel turning that is not say they are unimportant
I am somebody who voted for remain and have lived here in france for 17 years own business that isin the majority supported by French clients 52 weeks of the year and employ 5 french nationals

You need to be a 'station' to have a casino, either balnéaire or mountain. That's why there isn't a casino in St Tropez because it is a fishing village and not a station unlike sainte maxime across the bay :-) & when I say casino I mean a nice belle-epoque or art-deco building eg with murals by Tamara de Lempicka
There is the very real prospect that if the authorities dont get a handle on the current spate of attacks and they continue at the current rate, then that will keep them at home....
Difficult to think what one could offer (as a hotelier) to offset this .......

Try Bandol just along from Cassis, you'll like it for sure if those other (v nice) places appeal to you.

What we are concerned about is the effect of the falling pound and the appalling waits caused by the lack of French Security staff to man the booths at Dover at a time of heightened security and increased traffic.

Absolutely. We hope that because we are very rural we will continue to attract custom. As I have said previously, we have the majority of our visitors from Belgium and Holland, who also have problems.
Our holiday destination to visit our daughter is Munich.

Good organisation is imperative.
And this is coming from some one who finds it hard!
But if you are part of the system which sûpplies French or British security at borders
you must offer stability and a constant respect for the well being of the travellers.
The begining and the end of any journey will always be remembered.
And France needs to retain her number one position as best holiday destination.
I really like Cassis and Couloure but I want to return to Barneville Cateret and Cancale....
