Update on poor Maud.

After 3 weeks of drops and gel 10X a day, no improvement whatsoever. She is now booked to see a veterinary eye specialist on Wednesday who will decide if treatment under anaesthetic of a corneal scrape or something more extreme is needed.

This is the “I’ve just buried my bone in your potager” look.

And if he’s anything like our Ruby, he’ll dig it up tomorrow after you’ve tidied up the potager. Then he’s got dirty paws to wash. But just look at those eyes - all innocent and they are gorgeous !
Thank you Mik :dog:

Here’s a nice story

A friend sent me this, what a terrible story. All they had to do was take Dennis to an animal shelter - how hard is that. I hope he has a loving forever home now.

Some people are wired differently.

Maybe from a previous life ?

He was our 4th rescue dog. A ferried relay from the NE down to us, where we did the last leg of the journey. A hunter, who was the original owner, had treated him badly and a bunch of people were able to persuade him to hand him over to them. He was 6 years old when he arrived, and we said are farewells to him when he was 17. They were best pals.

Yes, but how strange, a tale originating in England but related in American.

I have had deaf dogs and I have had one blind dog, we coped in both cases to the point where there was no problem, but I can’t imagine where I would start with both drawbacks present.

I really hope his adopters find a way.

Nice work!

Yep. Walter loves travelling in the car. Here he is in Portugal this Christmas day, all dressed up for the party!

What a character. Is Walter a poodle cross?

Walter is a bit cleaner than our Ruby - she’s been rolling in the snow and is in a bit of a mess. Got to go and tidy her up and make sure she’s nice and dry and then she’s got a special treat for her Christmas dinner. :dog:

Yes. His dad is a toy poodle and his mum is a cocker spaniel. He is usually a bit more hairy, but it is warm here in Portugal. I prefer him hairy!

Charlie likes wearing his Christmas jumper, even though it’s no longer Christmas.
