Its safe to say religious laws are about as much sense as religion itself, of course they didnt have covid to control their populations so relied on scareing people in other ways

I agree, and am very pleased that the fish lady only arrives in our market on Thursdays which means Thursday evening is my fish dish night. I would have hated it to be a Friday and have all and sundry suspecting me of being religeous, of any description.

The big joke amongst ex pats at the time was that if you worked out the numbers involved, number of chickens, time to kill etc. there were not enough imams in Iraq to keep up with production.

I have no doubt it could be automated to dispatch the chickens as quickly and in the same volumes as any chicken processing plant just with the addition of a single imam, a microphone, and a public address system relaying his prayers as they shuffled off their mortal coils and joined the processing line to turn them into halal chicken McNuggets.

Yes of course, though you missed the word ‘current’ between ‘and’ and ‘Dog’. Otherwise a very hard couple of days this week would have been avoided.
