Ducks in a row (travel to France sometime again soon)

Now the predictable flood of booking enquiries from Francophile Brits desperate for holidays…

Emails sent to me by a number of ferry co’s and of course the tunnel, they need the business like I need a holiday :+1:

Crossing back to the UK booked for September, struggling to find accommodation in Dorset for a couple of days.

Have booked flights (via Amsterdam) for next week. Will be first time back in a year, and not seen family for 18 months. Can’t wait! Am fully microchipped so just need to get my head around the whole testing thing. Do pharmacies offer PCR tests and do they give you a certificate to show the airlines?

You’re microchipped? Was it in the vaccine?!

Everyone knows that only the very early vaccines contained microchips. The new ones contain magnetic particles which act as 5G transponders.

Pharmacies will more likely offer lateral flow but various labs offer PCR if you want/need that.

Go to sante.fr and click the dépistage link to find centres. Click the tests antigéniques box if you want pharmacies offering lateral flow. Yes the pharmacy will give you a printed certificate.

Anyone planning on putting animals into UK kennels for a trip abroad, beware places are likely to be in short supply - according to a caller to "You and Yours’ on BBC r4. The lady thought it would be easy to find a place but not the case.

Can someone tell me where I can locate the form that you need to fill in when entering France to confirm that you are not suffering any symptons of Covid 19 - I had the location of the form once, but now cannot find it!!
It’s a type of attestation .

Many thanks

The Sun: Holiday loophole means Brits could AVOID expensive PCR travel tests when returning to the UK…

I am trying to avoid reading anything in the UK press (even though I currently have a subscription to 2 of them) since it just depresses me and I need to preserve what little sanity I have left

Just because the likes of The Sun appeals to a certain readership it doesn’t mean that what they are reporting is always factually incorrect and of no interest to anyone other than their usual readers.

Fully agree with that, Tim! I think both Tory and I were just being facetious about the nature of those particular newspapers
