Very narrow, some were defo’ squeaky bum time! We had booked a visit to The Lost Gardens of Heligan last Saturday, the worst possible day as it was blowing a hooley and absolutely hissing down.

Me of course :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Ah yes, Citizen Lapin of the Committee for Public Safety.

I trust your guillotine is finely honed.

Prepare you knitting Chris :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

I was hoping for a position on the Committee, but I guess one has to start at the bottom in the new regime…

Brown nose your way up? :squinting_face_with_tongue:

Hopefully that will not be necessary, I plan to rise through the ranks on merit and by shouting ā€œĆ€ bas les aristos !ā€ a lot.

Come the revolution, I want to see all senior execs against the wall.

Insurance company execs first, followed by bankers.

Anyone who thought software as a service was a great idea too.

Yup. The purveyors of Salesforce software first. The innovator in the enshittification of CRM as practised by call centres. Stupid robots like La Poste and SNCF, are just the automated version of putting up a barrier that assumes the robot / Salesforce software is programmed to deal with all customer needs otherwise they can just go away.

Does anyone else have trouble charging using Total Energies ? Out of 4 bornes on a motorway stop today we finally got one to work after phoning the company and asking staff for help. Passing the time watching other ev drivers trying, some managed to start charging and others didn’t . Does it depend on the brand or age of the car ?

Benioff is a smart cookie, and his company was more morale than his fascist ex boss of Oracle. Sadly he’s drunk the MAGA Koolaid too. I knew Salesforce would be a success, it was time for the old centralised vs distributed cycle to take another turn, software as a service, but as usual I was too busy to buy shares.

Similarly, understanding that the Intel business model was finished and they should tank, I didn’t pay enough attention to the Trump bailout and subsequent strong arming of Nvidia and Apple. It was a nobrainer to throw a few bob at them. I still think they are stuffed in the medium term but there was money to be made on their share price bounce driven by political interference.

It shouldn’t. What sort of car do you have and what sort of connector?

I’ve used Total high speed (CCS) chargers with no problem. Tesla used to restrict their chargers to their cars but all others are universal. Since Tesla changed their policy I’ve also used one of their chargers to see of it worked on our non Teslas and it worked flawlessly.

It’s a Hyundai Kona. Friends who have the same car have had the same problem. Staff at the service station, who had three Total Energies badges apiece, said people constantly have problems with the chargers. Definitely avoid in the future and make more use of Chargemap.

Thanks for the warning Dory. I almost exclusively charge my Kona at home but in the event of a long journey I will know what to avoid. We are not spoilt for choice in France.
