Ann, I do believe you have many interesting stories to tell, about folks you know, places and so forth. That motorcycle-riding mill owner might be good to talk with. However, I’m not in the same league. My ride is a simple Honda Shadow Sabre VT 1100 touring bike. Easy to fix, a bit lighter in weight than the Harley it wants to be. I’d be standing there in awe, of the 1930s one. Might like to draw it someday, though

Looks like the concrete beam is under pressure from above and the beam over the bottom window is also under pressure with cracks showing.
I would also be concerned with that and would engage a structural engineer before going ahead with any purchase.
As a matter of interest is that a new window frame that has been fitted if so then ask why?
