Yeah, Badger, it can be tricky with special characters and lots of folk don’t know. Conversations are good! 
I quite liked the idea of a Swiss keyboard

My worst foreign keyboard experience was at the 2007 World Aesthetics Triennial (!) in Ankara which had hundreds of delegates from all over the world, but only two public computers with internet access. In the evening one had to queue to use them and the Turks rigourously applied a ten minute max for each delegate. I queued for ages as I needed to send two extremely important e-mails, so hurriedly typed the first and then was horrified to discover that the old Turkish keyboards didn’t appear to have the @ symbol!
