OH always tests it. Sends a small amount first and checks they’ve received it. No anxiety involved that way.

I always send just a tiny amount to any new beneficiary as a test amount first. Never exactly 1.00 or 2.00 euros or pounds, but an odd amount say 1.76 (always more than £1 worth if it’s coming from a £ account).
The low round numbers may trigger a fraud block as apparently a test transaction of 1.00 was often used by fraudsters testing a stolen card to see if still valid.
