Thank you Andrew, disappointing that it would not make it a little easier for my son.

So I really don’t think it will have any great ‘Pro’s’ for me to do it. My great grandfather French, my maiden name is french but unfortunately my father born in Britain…… I’m leaving off the Great !!

That wouldn’t be enough for you to apply anyway. They only go back to parents here.
