Hi Emily, we (French company) run a system whereby our employees start building up their annual entitlement from day one. For every full month worked we entitle them to two and a half days and they can take them from the end of month one or continue to build them up. After 12 months they are then given their full annual quota. So in theory they could work 12 months build a full quota and then be given another full quota. But I have heard of many companies that do not allow any leave to be taken in the first year - it's not on really is it?
