French driving licence expired

Apologies if I misunderstood but it read as if you were saying it was illegal for someone here to drive in the UK with an expired card.

Good to know, I got very frustrated when after a year they sent back my application a few years back!

Our bad, I’ll try to get it sorted this week!

Thanks so much for your clear answers as always :bouquet::bouquet:

No need to apologise - would be my fault for not making myself clear !!

Had coffee with our usual gang at the marché last week. Licences came up and we all produced ours. My little plastic one was of great interest, and amusement. Everyone else had their original pink paper ones, decades, and decades old. Some photocopies, some with pages missing but all with photos that bore no resemblance to their owners today. Maybe this is one of the reasons ANTS is so laid back about the whole licence thingy :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

This was one of the best examples…

Mine looks exactly like that, I had it plastic wrapped to hold it together, never had a problem with the GD’s photo dates from the late 80’s or early 90’s, I had a head of hair at the time

Everyone holding the old paper rose licence if they are still driving on 19 January 2033 must update it before this date to a photocard licence, they are being discontinued and will no longer be legal after this time.

Yep, my rose licence will have to go… I’ll try to remember to do it before 2033 chimes in … :crossed_fingers:
