In this instance it was a type of fungi spore in the potting mix, dangerous when inhaled.
How many of you have noticed how quickly the grass has recovered after the dry spell.
Our paddocks are almost all green now which only means one thing - grass cutting. Not sure if Stuart will use the ride-on or the Dormak long grass cutter. It’s a pity the trees and shrubs haven’t come back so quickly, but I’m sure they will.

I just wanted to say thank you to all of you who gave me advice and comments when I had my first go at growing pumpkins this year. 2 plants died. 1 became a triffid and has produced.
My two monster pumpkins are now cut and drying out while I find a cool place to store them. I think they’re about 20kg. They made it to 116 days out of the max 125 jane_jones originally said was the max. There were little signs predators were potentially taking an interest in them and I wasn’t going to do all that work for nothing so harvested them.
Meanwhile the tomatoes after a slow start are full of fruit at different stages despite my attempts to kill them. I just hadn’t realised how heavy laden tomato plants are and had under-staked them so they kept falling over. I should have worked out I might get more than I bsrgained for when 1 plant whose tag said it reaches 1 metre, headed past 3 meters tall and is now closer to 4.
I blame MikeyPotts, I think it was, who said don’t pinch out the extra bits that grow in between the stem and its offshoot because they produce more tomatoes. And they did 
The potatoes were a failure. Only got about 9kg but learned enough to do the same next year with far less effort (and water) if I want to.

It sure is Karen - we bought it to go through the long grass - when we were waiting for a battery for the ride-on, it seemed to grow twice as quick as normal. Hence the need for a cutter that was ‘man for the job’ . And this certainly is. It goes through everything - docks, brambles, long grass, It was expensive but well worth it.
