If disconnected for a long period of time and then for some reason you want/need to be reconnected it may be that EDF would insist on you having an inspection for conformity before connection again.

Only if the meter has been removed, which would only happen after a very long time.

I’ve seen places that haven’t had a live supply for 20 years reconnected with no recourse to a CONSUEL inspection.

Add me to the list, after ours was removed, I didnt bother until the following spring (saving the service charge) no inspection just fitted us a linky and went on their way.
