Hedges and borders

Actually for what it’s worth they do. If you can build muscle you can hold your joints and bones in the “ correct “ position and ease the wear and tear.

Entirely agree, muscle strength and condition are so important for keeping things functional. But the shoulder is the most complex joint in the body and if damaged then no amount of strength training can make it a good thing to spend hours stressing it with a repetitive movement that exerts too much pressure.

We had a period of trying non-invasive “clump-forming” bamboos in the garden since my partner likes big statement plants. What we found was that, after a few years, shoots ran underground and formed a new clump. Invasive, in my view unless you dig a slot around them and stick e.g. rigid plastic sheets in the slot.

Exactly!!

My aim would be to have a telescope long enough not to have to climb the ladder, but advice well taken!

For several years we have bought our hedging kits from this company

Their prices are very reasonable and the bare rooted hedging is excellent. We thoroughly recommend them.
