The sleaze gathers momentum…
Just goes to show they can fail spectacularly even when Chris Grayling is not involved.
They don’t fly high enough for accurate global positioning, so they hope people won’t notice as the UK slowly drifts out into the Atlantic.
It’s alleged that Cummings has had an unhealthy interest in all of this… perhaps he has bunged some personal money into the “enterprise”
Just read this amusing (but jaw-dropping) exchange in the Commons:
Johnson asked Sir Keir Starmer whether he could “now confirm that he wants all children who can to go back to school this month”.
“Yes,” said Starmer.
Johnson: “He still can’t make up his mind! He still won’t say whether children should go back.”
the battery probably ran out on his earpiece at that point so he couldn’t hear Cummings response from the Strangers’ bar so defaulted to his briefing note…
Yes, it has all the hallmarks of a Grayling failure. Good to see his legacy lives on.
Remind me again - wasn’t leaving the EU something to do with not wanting unelected bureaucrats to have power over our government.
And Cummings is not even a bureaucrat - supposedly “just” an adviser
What’s logic to do with anything. I followed a link about a trade deal with Australia to a tweet by John Redwood this morning. He was saying how great it would be when we were doing more business with them and less with Europe. Just above was another tweet where he was going on about the importance of cutting down on food miles and the need to shop locally.
Nothing much - like most of the Brexiteers Redwood is delusional (in his case distinctly more than average even for that group).
and I still remember the hapless Redwood hopelessly miming the Welsh National Anthem when he was Welsh Secretary in John Major’s cabinet…
A karaoki king.
I didn’t know Cummins was a Dylan fan…

It should be the Brexit anthem.
an opportunity for a “jerry built” Britain?
Forget planning permission, commandeer a large building and Bingo! You too can have have an empty school.
bugger that John… there are plenty of massive unusable buildings owned by Tory donors ripe for selling off at inflated prices for profit first ![]()
Well, there should be a few vacant soon in the City and Canary Wharf. Even Wooster Mogg has decamped his vulture and hedge funds to Dublin.
Though I hesitate to invoke Godwin - watching Mark Sedwill’s departure and the inevitable politicisation of the civil service makes me wonder how ordinary (i.e non Nazi supporting) Germans felt in the mid 1930’s.
If looks could kill…
