Kilowatt(s) - shortened to kW (small k, big W) - is a measurement of instantaneous power i.e the actual load in Watts that something is drawing at an instant in time.
Kilowatthour(s) - shortened to kWh (small k, big W, small h) - is a measurement of power consumed over time i.e. a 1 kW load running for one hour = 1 kWh (also what is known as unit of electricity in the UK.
Precision matters in these things. Yes, usually one can work out what someone means when thy use kW instead of kWh, but it can sometimes confuse.
However, @larkswood12 couldn’t possibly draw 200kW via their domestic connection, but they can consume 200kWh.
We have used 539kWh this month thanks to solar and only bought 3.2kWh which isn’t bad as we have an EV and charge it at home. The bad thing is we have given EDF 415kWh, when we had the solar installed we were advised by the company not to sell it back to EDF as the money we would receive wasn’t worth the trouble as we’d have very little excess power…in the past 11 months EDF have had 2.81mWh free of charge

That’s crazy, anyway you can change it to getting some money?
