Is there no one out there in 19510 Meilhards region who can point me to some tree surgeons that at least I can talk to in English and discuss the work and get some estimates for the amount of work involved?
I found a tree surgeon but he can’t speak English you see and my French is poor.
Can anybody help, please? 
Be grateful - they are like hens teeth! Find a friend/contact who speaks more French than you or use google or deepl and write down what you want, or use one of these Smart phone apps where you both speak and it translates.
At the end of the day, much can be achieved with goodwill and waving of arms. Tree surgeons are pretty monosyllabic anyway. It would be a shame to let something as simple as a language difference stop you doing what you want.
The fact that no one has rushed to give you a name is maybe an indication of what you are facing. And as Stella always says, talk to you Mairie.
Get a bilingual person to help, if you can. Improve your French 
. It’s not unusual for a tree surgeon not to be a polyglot, I wonder if many English or American tree surgeons (working in the UK or US) speak French?
You could try Kevin Parry (google élagueur parry kevin) - he is English but you might be a bit too far away. He used to live near Feniers on the PNR, but I think he might have moved to near Aubusson now.
France is a big place - Survive France members are well scattered - some (like me) are still UK-based part-timers - so it’s a matter of luck if someone happens to live near enough to you to recommend a specific tradesperson…
