I put up a comment to the same effect at the weekend. They are now nest building here. The blackthorn trees have already finished flowering, most other plums too and the cherry blossom is on the turn. As for the rate at which grass is growing... The bats have been out and about but on and off with the temperature for about a month and certainly my bees are very active right now. Without looking for much more, I reckon it must be spring!
Quite right, Kieth, a swallow certainly doesn't mean it's spring but it seems to be here at long last, one of the longest wettest winters for a while seems to finally be behind us. Leaves coming out on the trees etc. wonderful stuff ;-)
