Yes, I’ve seen it in Nice. A spectacular job. Also in many other cities/towns over the last thirty years. For example Toulouse, Nantes, Tours, Grenoble etc. all done expertly.
Ah yes, the smog. I lived in London and was a ‘bus-spotter’. The smog was so thick I could walk unseen into the bus garages (normally never allowed) and get the numbers of some of the little-used buses that were rarely seen on the road.
And let’s not talk about trying to ride a bike on roads where there were tramlines.
We are regular visitors to Gdansk where there is an excellent tram network. They are regular, cheap and clean. They are usually double carriage with a ‘bendy’ join so carry a good number of passengers. So sensible.
Goods vehicles powered by electricity - what a good idea!
I’m surprised that nobody thought about this years ago, Oh, hang on…
Remember the electric milk floats?
the by-product of this form of transport … is good for the roses…
I knew a chap called Ernie. Think he was a milkman…
Thats the name of the chap I worked for.
I used love going to manchester as a kid to ride on the Trolley busses.
they have improved and certainly compared to the post office
