Click on “Schedule” once logged into Zoom:
Then choose the date and time for the meeting:
Scroll down a bit and in the box marked “invitees” enter the email addresses of the people you want to invite:
Finally at the bottom of the page click “Save”. Invitations will be sent by email to the participants, which include a link they can use to join the meeting at the appropriate time.
That’s what he must have done to me but without explanation and in any case I wasn’t ready at the same time. It was so simple with FB, why does some prat always have to muddle things up?
I’ll try later but it is 2250 in Bangkok at the moment so may be a bit tardy and, in anycase I have to feed the hound in 10 minutes. 
It’s not absolutely necessary to schedule a meeting - you can just email someone and say “let’s chat at 9pm my time” and then start the meeting ad hoc. But having a scheduled one makes it easy for someone to join as they have all the info in writing.
A bit of practice is all it takes, like most things. We use Zoom to chat with the US-based rellies at Xmas and birthdays.
