I shuddered. My wife made the suggestion she tracks me via Google Maps purely when I’m out of bike rides, in case I’m (once again).lying unconscious by the side of the road. I only track her on the rare occasions she’s driving to/from Luxembourg on her own, in case she breaks down..And that’s the sum total of any tracking
Good point. It’s not the technology that’s the problem, it’s the obsessive use of it.
Mind you, the George in the article needs to grow a pair to replace the pair his mum removed.
Given OH’s gentle memory loss and our moving back to Chichester, we have discussed putting an app on his phone, in case he gets lost. Unfortunately, this assumes that (a) he has his phone with him and (b) it’s charged - both highly unlikely. 
Do her kids get a say in it?
I can understand keeping an eye if someone is out and about, but monitoring their every move is not justifiable.
