It's 6mus :-)

Wales should have their hands full this afternoon.

You would think it should have been a home from home for Scotland.

Well, what an afternoon of rugby

Being a neutral for the first & the most enjoyable game of the afternoon. Pre match I thought Italy had a 45% chance of coming away with a win, half an hour later that went up to 60%, in the last 20 I thought unless Scotland comes up with something special, it’s in the bag for a well deserved win for Italy. Now for Scotland, it’s not usual to play rugby on a wet pitch in the rain, ok the stadio olimpico di Roma did turn into a paddling pool, but & but
Only in the last 5 mins did they remember to stick up the jersey & go though the phases.
I was hoping Wales would put up a good spirited fight, after the 1st 20, that hope was well & truly out of the window. Wales gave away so many penalties, though silly unforced errors  the game was won before half time. England seemed to pull their foot off the pedal for a bit in the second half, though, playing some really nice moves, Wales picked up, played better & then
England left quite a few points out there.
Italy go to Ireland next week on the back of a win confidence high.
Scotland hosts England, coming from a loss, will be even more fired up than when they usually meet up with their beloved Sassanachs. Now who will be sent home to think again :rugby_football:

Fab edge of seat stuff. I’m delighted Scotland won but goodness their scrum is not good. Ireland Italy was exciting but I thought Italy were robbed.

V nice tribute to my uncle Allan and others at start of Calcutta cup.

Well done Scotland, :scotland: great Calcutta Cup game. It must have been some atmosphere from being to the end and following on in the pubs afterwards.

Ireland looking decidedly shaky in the first half, Italy pulling off some fine attacking and defending. I couldn’t believe it when I finally managed to get a live video feed to watch the match and saw how the Italians were doing.

That was some game alright, and made concentrating on my plasterboard rail placement more difficult than expected, as I kept forgetting my measurements due to the excitement of the French commentary

Happy birthday to me :scotland:.

Interestingly, if you add the two teams scores together, add TVA and a 15% service charge, you’ll arrive at an age I’ll never see again.

Enjoy your Saturday evening.

Big thumbs up :+1: to Italy, they’ve been playing well for some time now and really upped their game since the beginning of last year and building, they’ve got depth in their squad now. Bet they’re really eyeing up their games against Wales and England. Ireland found themselves in the second half but just held off an impressive Italy. Some great rugby being played in a great tournament :rugby_football::rugby_football::rugby_football:

So much for my prediction that England were going to win the tournament
!

I no longer care should Scotland lose every other match

More seriously, I felt the red card was a bit harsh but it was the right result on the day

When you watch games like that from the stands the ticket price is well worth every penny and more. Scotlands game plan with the magic of Fin Russell won the day, Scotland were really up for it as always against their ol’ enemy.
England should have changed their game after half an hour, physicality and high balls weren’t going their way. They should have gone for a more pin the adversary in their own half and turn it into a slog.

They still can when Wales :wales: put 50 points on France :france: this afternoon:grinning_face: that would really open up the tournament :rugby_football::rugby_football::rugby_football:
