Thanks Sue. I have to say the same transaction in Revolut would have been fee free AFAIK

@SuePJ there’s a useful facility in Revolut which I have used a few times. If you don’t have the recipient’s bank details, you can just send them an email with a payment link which includes the amount to pay… they open the link and receive the payment - simples! Takes seconds! OH sent a payment for a book to someone in Belgium in Euro and they were mightily impressed with the simplicity of it all.
