The whole idea of bugs is still bugging me…
I’ve just discovered an iphone app that reads barcodes and indicates the ingredients in the product. It’s called InsectScan. It clearly says “insects none” on all the products I’ve tried at home. I’m going to have fun in the supermarket this week. It bothers me because I do have shellfish allergy. The app also gives the nutri-score and indicates additives like e330 as well as other allergens.
Scan something with Cocineal in the ingredients and see if it picks it up.
Nutritional score, based on whos data and recommendations?

It’s the standard French one that you see everywhere, but I don’t know how useful it is.
I’ll look for cochineal. Good idea. I’ve seen those insects on prickly pear cacti in Lanzarote. They’re used to make carmine.

It isnt really, its based on the std food pyramid with carbs being the bigest part of your diet, hence so many obese people with type 2 diabetes and protein and fats further down in that order, better to turn the pyramid up side down for better health.
