Life insurance company request for personal wealth information

This is what it is all about. In the U.K. the banks can receive heavy fines for not complying and I would imagine it’s the same in France and other countries.

Yes, that appears to be the way it is. But who is asking them to collect this information and why?
I feel a bit like someone who has been arrested for a crime they didn’t do. Half of me is thinking “no problem, I am completely innocent so I can tell them everything”, and the other half of me is thinking “be careful what you tell them because even though I am completely innocent, any information I give them could be used as evidence against me”.
I have absolutely nothing to hide so I’m certainly blowing this out of proportion, but I think it’s right that we ask ourselves questions…

Whoever has responsibility for money laundering. It’s a big problem and governments need all the help they can get.

To make sure you are not avoiding weakth tax perhaps?

But wealth tax (ISF) doesn’t exist anymore, only for property ownership (IFI). But I agree, it could be more along these lines that they’re asking, more so than for money laundering or other reasons. Perhaps to evaluate the wealth of the population to consider how to tax the population in the future. I’m only speculating…

Is this the guy Chris ? He really is orange, isn’t he !
