Its taking the picture and sound from a small thing to a big thing with or without a cable. Easier with a cable but cables get in the way.

Thank you. I must say I hate cables - tangled knots of stuff all round the back of the TV and the computer that pick up an inordinate amount of dust and dog hairs. However, I am also highly suspicious of invisible “waves” sending messages through the atmosphere. Given that at the most basic level all we are is electromagnetic radiation, I’m reluctant to have that disturbed more than necessary, so cables it is.
