If I were you I’d go to buy some lottery tickets and bet on as many horse races as possible…

I would just sell it all on whatever is the British equivalent of “leboncoin” and buy again in France on “leboncoin”. Anything with personal value you can bring in your van.

The problem I have is that I only have access to the property for 3 days between tenancies so really not long enough to take pics and measurements of items to advertise and sell. Plus concluded that far far more cost effective to fly back from the South versus drive.

So now, after a couple of intense days, finally booked flights and converged on a mover, after alot of back and forth. And also, finally, after reviewing the offers from various movers I decided to use a small mover as felt I would get a far more personal and flexible service versus larger companies that were sharing some pretty scary T&C’s. And one large company in particular had some absolutely terrible reviews. All now prepped to go back and do what’s necessary. One service I did discover was a pretty cost effective service offered by a couple of companies that would deliver within 48 hours of collection. Unfortunately I couldn’t take advantage, but good to know maybe for future. Now time to relax before the storm
