The Poles captured a complete Enigma machine and got it to the UK. Without that Bletchley would have struggled.

Many years ago I was in a head to head with Ericsson to outsource a telco’s IT ops and IT development, a multi year, multimillion deal. Ericsson were the incumbent switch suppliers and were very confident (in a rather arrogant way) of winning the deal. They’d code named their project "Enigma. So, having been an admirer of the man for many years, I code named ours “Turing”. We won
