No payments from CPAM

The small sums do just build up over time and sometimes they are not clawed back for quite some time, or even at all. My OH had a demand for just over €40 for items going back up to a year. Previous doctors visits, blood tests etc had been repaid in that time, but they just didn’t bother to claw back from repayments due to her. Why, I don’t know.

Exactly as hairbear says, there is no strict pattern about when forfaits, franchises and payments are claimed (and they are three different things!).

They best way to get your head round it is to check every time you have something medical - even just filling a prescription. You will start to see the €0•50 and €1•00 adding up, and then when you pay for something with real money it vanishes to cover all these charges, and you get no reimbursement.

It is very rare they make a mistake.

Help please. I have not received any reimbursements from 3 visits to our local doctor nor from a specialist. The visits were in February and 1 in early March.

I last used my Carte Vitale at a pharmacy in mid April and it was valid and working then.
I sent a letter to our regional CPAM on 9th April and have had no response.

Can anyone advise me on how/where best to get this sorted
I am in the Aveyron.

Any leads would be most helpful

Look on your Ameli account on the payments page. You will probably find that you have built up a deficit in forfait and franchises, which are the obligatory small payments for every act, and they have recouped the outstanding amount from these visits,.

If you read through this thread this is explained in some detail.

You could call AMELI on the English speaking help line.

Or send a secure message for the AMELI site. They get back in a few days.

Thank you , I thought the English helpline is no longer operative however I will try the Ameli secure messaging and see if that brings a result.

Have you looked at your account yet? That will most likely answer your questions.

I think the helpline still exists but it can take a while to get through, if you call after lunch midweek you seem to get through more quickly.

I have found they respond very quickly to messages I send in my espace.

The auto acknowledgement comes in an hour or two and quite frequently recently a reply same day or following day. I think there are time limits within which they have to reply.

Also in your espace there is a “money” section it could be worth clicking on items on to see the detail.

I think it depends where you live. For us, we’ve never got a single reply on our espace. Also, you can’t book an appointment online, it just doesn’t work. The only way for us to talk to someone is to phone up to book an appointment or just turn up and wait. In saying that, we’ve always been able to sort things out, it’s just a lot harder than it should be. Our local caisse seems to still be in the dark ages.

Yes, it’s rubbish. If your issue doesn’t fall into a few narrow categories then you can whistle.
