So unfair.
For you, yes one of the most unfair succession postings I have ever read. Well given your age, I think maybe you might qualify for something but to be honest and having been through French succession process myself, you normally have only two choices - accept or renounce the succession and with the second one, no debts or problems should ever bother you again. Is it worth doing that although to be honest you normally by law have only ten years in which to accept or renounce and I have been there and done that so if this succession was started officially before four months after death as is the law, then the ten years applies to the date when the Notaire made the first papers and did the valuations etc. Personally if it were me and I did not need the inheritance to survive on, I would renounce and be done with it all for peace of mind over what years I might have left.
I am trapped in a noisy rented flat - a main road with all the emergency services screaming past it and at the August bank holiday, the carnival. All this over 40 yearss.
I am dependant on my inheritance to set me free.
As for the indemnity - the judgement is due in.July.
My sister has a lot of debts but to involve me is cruel.
I am deeply grateful to you for the understandiing you have shown towards me
Any more developments I’ll keep you all posted:-)
