Thank you. ![]()
Your dentist surgery sound very uncaring. I’m sorry. ![]()
Thank you. I do have doctor and hospital reports and scanner results, as well as photographs of the offending hole. The bruises will fade and I’m hoping the broken nose won’t spoil my beauty! ![]()
They seemed more concerned that (a) they would not be able to perform the operation I was booked in for and (b) that the sight of all the blood may frighten other patients!
In the U.S. we have a special branch of the legal profession called Personal Injury lawyers. They are free — work on an agreement that gives them a percentage of any money awarded by a court. I’ve heard that insurance companies often try to settle out of court with these lawyers, since these firms only take a case they can make money on. But for you it seems a talk with any lawyer might help. Good luck.
Are they the ones known as ambulance chasers? I’m so glad we don’t have that set-up here (as far as I know).
I’m so sorry for your fall, what a painful shock. This is rather off the cuff ‘advice’, but I have heard that in France damages for personal injury tend to be based on financial losses rather than pain and suffering. So, for example, if an accident kept someone out of work and there was no insurance that covered it, then damages might be payable. But as I say, that’s anecdotal rather than coming from a legal source. Good luck with your recovery.
Yes indeed, that is how it works here!
Thanks. x
That is incredibly rude and I feel you should apologise. An accident isn’t caused by carelessness particularly if the cause is negligence.

I hope you are making a good recovery @SuKe .
Thank you Mike, the bruises are fading and the nose is less painful, except where my glasses sit right on top of the break!
