I stopped using Paypal a few years ago because their fees annoyed me and I found it clunky.
Having lost an hour of my life that I will never get back this morning trying to link my bank account to paypal and having had the same linking paypal to Tipee , I am still not a fan.
I see having a Paypal account as a necessary evil rather than anything positive and in day to day life when I need to send money quickly for personal or pro reasons I find Revolut a thousand times better.
Also in terms of accounting the fewer places money comes into the better really as that makes doing my monthly AE declarations a lot simpler. I’m crap with money / numbers etc at the best of times so try to keep things as user friendly for me as possible. But everyone is different!

Ok I am just looking at the Patreon charging structure. I set up a Patreon site about a month ago as I want to develop extra content as an additional income stream. Currently I only have free members signed up. I put some membership levels into play when creating it but haven’t yet tinkered with the prices etc really.
Prices are currently in dollars which is probably not ideal for you lot?
I’ve just looked at changing them into euros and my head is now spinning round in circles …
If anyone is feeling kind and has time to take a look and advise me , I would be enormously appreciative….

I pay you from my Wise account so dollars are not too much of an issue, especially as I usually have some Yankeebucks in there from my stock photography sales from Adobe and Shutterstock.

If you ever go on to sell digital products, you’re responsible for filing and paying Digital VAT to the appropriate countries.
For selling digital products, you’re better off using Gumroad or Payhip.
Apart from that, I’ve not heard or read anything negative about Buy Me A Coffee for creators accepting donations.

The photography forum I help moderate has been using buymeacoffee happily for several years. Not aware of any problems, and the forum owners seem reasonably switched on to the commercial side.
