Poo ID help please

Depends on the what they’ve been eating, both fox and badger have a varied diet at this time of year earth worms, frogs, toads & badgers will eat bulbs and roots& hedgehogs.

Doesn’t surprise me, either you have found a badger toilet or they are marking territory. Have you found any sets near by? If so keep it quiet, if you have any cattle farmers near by you may find the set is no longer occupied.

I never envisioned how much attention we would be paying daily to the ‘quality’ of our doggos poopies.
:moneybag:

I don’t know of any set nearby. About 10 years ago I did actively search my local area for them as a part of an organised study without success. The badger/badgers have been around for a long time as they have cropped up on the trail camera before. The ‘toilet’ was strange as it was so obviously a chosen spot.

Apart from cats, and I can ID their poo by the calibre, most deposits I am pretty sure are my 2 dogs. Jules’ is fairly constant but Galys deposits really black ones, really brown ones, and sometimes both colours intertwined. Obviously an artiste. :joy:

I read an article once about producing a new dog food. In it they were explaining how scientists knew if it was living up to expectations and the promises they made about it. It was a simple concept that involved testing dog poo, a good indicator of health and nutrition. As I thought scientists had glamorous roles.

Not the ones with a PoohD :joy_cat:

Be really careful. It may be a Drop Bear :koala::deciduous_tree::grin:
