If there is interest I collated the price at Easter of basic items at Lidl in the UK, France and Spain that I can share.
We typically buy a whole chicken in the village (near Velez Malaga ) Coviran for 1.99€ and in a roasting bag on the roast chicken setting in the SolarDom they are moist and succulent. At SuperU Sauveterre de Guyenne a ordinary chicken is 2.99€.
At Easter in Spain diesel was between 1.17€ and 1.25€. The price is far more elastic than France or the UK. The diesel price on motorways can be the same as in the towns AND the toilets are spotlessly clean
