Crawl back under your stone, thats the worst thing I have read on this forum’
Perhaps @plod should reconsider whether he really want to remain a member of this community.
But if anything I guess it has educated me on the abhorrent underlying culture in the British police of which he professes to be a proud past member and why the current investigations are so vital to clean up the mess left by those of such an unsavoury nature that they delight in posing for “selfies” in front of murder victims amongst other atrocious and despicable behaviour traits ![]()
Is he for real?
Disgraceful statement to make ![]()
unfortunately so by all accounts.
That sort of attitude clearly examples why the British police are so toxic - the young officers look to their example and seek to copy it as if it’s the normal way to behave in public office.
As the OP for this thread, I’m asking the mods to remove it. It has gone off topic and is becoming inappropriate. The issues I had with the school have been dealt with satisfactorily. Thanks for the helpful comments to those who left them.
Topics are not generally removed because of thread drift - that happens everywhere on social media. Equally a single post, even in bad taste, should not require that a thread is deleted. The post is and remains hidden for now and the rest of the thread might be useful to others in your situation.
I’ll leave @Cat and @James to deal with our errant ex policeman - though I have to agree with everyone who is somewhat aghast at the comment - there is no suggestion the teacher in question was abusive to pupils.
More here on the attack.
Well, sorry to see that attitude. Last time I post here and i’m deleting my membership… Not being able to take down ones own thread when it drifts, as it’s well and truly done, into knocking religion, oppressed clergy etc. That never had anything to do with the problems being experienced. But, I suppose anything goes when trying to retain content on the site. The offending post is simply the latest in a string of comments that add zero value to the topic. Goodbye.
Wasn’t there a topic about a wall ?
Sorry not to have met expectations.
Isn’t the point of a forum like this is to get help with a problem, hopefully get a result and for it to remain so if anyone else has a similar problem, they can do a search of the forum and they can benefit from your experience , see people’s advice and hopefully it will help them as well.
Certainty ask for the topic to be locked, hopefully the poor taste comment is deleted and move on, topics drift on any forum and that is to be expected and it would be boring they didn’t.
That’s not very nice. Conversations do move on, whatever one may think of it there’s no need to flounce off.
It just does a disservice to those who gave helping advice as well.
I’d ask for clemency for plod - while the remark was in poor taste indeed, he is neither bullying, coercive or belittling to others as some are.
I’m in two minds over this, but would certainly give plod the clemency if he amended his post as may have been a knee jerk type of satirical mind fuck? Just wondering if it was a police officer having been stabbed to death whether he would have written the same type of thing?
I’m sorry, you do not “own” a thread just because you started it, others have contributed and you can’t demand that it is removed just because it has taken a turn of which you don’t approve
Wouldn’t it be better to stay and contribute to a forum instead of creating a topic, get help from the members on here and then just disappear once you get a result, it just appears selfish.
I thought plod’s comment was as much in bad taste as it was out of character.
I shall depart. I apologise that my post did not appropriately reflect the reason for posting.
Please don’t do that.
Everyone makes mistakes (or posts stuff which is misunderstood) and your post didn’t reflect your real character.
Plod clearly stands by his dreadful comment as I notice that he has not deleted it nor attempted to
