Sugar, salt and fat make food taste good. MB would have created her recipe at a time when this was more important than having the ‘right’ ingredients.

In moderation fine, but sugar is in everything and worse high fructose corn syrup because its a third of the price of sugar I believe and sends insulin through the roof.
