Australia did used to be known as New Holland many years ago… so perhaps they were just getting confused about New versus Old Holland 
(although I realise that even Old Holland isn’t that close to Slovakia)
If the celebs who appear on ‘House of Games’ (the one and only celeb programme I will watch) are anything to go by the standard of geography is absolutely appalling in UK now, worse I think than the Yanks were always accused of.
The Australia thing I mentioned above came from that quiz.
Just read in the NY Times that Generation Z (aka Gen ADHD) found the original form of Scrabble too challenging:-
“Some of the feedback that we got on Scrabble in particular was that you’ve got to focus a lot,”
