Thank you for your reply Stuart. Yes it can be a dilemma choosing between the weather of the south or the ease of access to and cost of Breton property. I definitely think a more extended period of time in an area could be a good idea to get a feeling for places. I’m glad you have found somewhere that suits you and I wish you very happy times exploring the area you’ve chosen!
Thought I’d just resurrect this thread rather belatedly (well it took some finding - is there an easy way to find threads that one has contributed to??? rather than look through the list and try to figure out which it is?) - to say thanks for the recommendation Barbara, I bought it and am half way through and enjoying it immensely.
