I initially thought it was a problem with the column with the bend at the top for the head, a weakness in the bend. I took the head off when we received the notification and it wasn’t easy to remove. How long did you actually wait for the nut? Over 5 months for us. For a bloody nut…

No, not at all. But when you are informed of a problem and don’t act then you have no recourse. The problem was not specifically identified. Turns out it is a nut according to Binnie on this forum.
So for 5 months we have only had the hand -held head. All for a bloody nut.
I think once I’d verified it wasn’t going to fall off, I’d have put it back on and forgotten about it, especially if I wasn’t going to follow the given procedure for contacting them.
OK, I’ve ditched most of the correspondence but have found that we were first contacted end March, at which point we registered (I guess by clicking on the link contained in the email) and received a ‘numero de dossier’. Follow-up email received in June with a bit more explanation of the problem and a phone number for the despatch company: Fandi 0805 389816. Also received texts with links to follow progress. Finally received the part early September. Hope this helps. Have you received a dossier number?
I followed the link on the original letter. I have 4 emails from LM. They know who I am.
If it helps, I bought the product end June 2022. Maybe they’ll get round to you eventually, or, if you have a dossier number, try ringing Fandi?
I used to struggle on the phone so I always prefaced my conversation with an apology that I don’t speak French well and could they please speak slowly. I found that helped. I also where necessary had my sentences translated into French before I started (these days I use Deepl for translation - slightly better than google).
I think these occasions are a great opportunity to practice French on the phone. There may come a day when there is an emergency and having confidence to use the phone is vital.
The “Rappel” site (Gouv) if I remember correctly advertised the fault April/ May 2023.
Now I know what’s involved I’ll wait for nut to arrive. If that was made apparent at the time I would not have taken the head off but it didn’t and I did !!.
